What it is

Virgin Hotels Atlanta is a planned hotel at Centennial Yards, the entertainment district across from State Farm Arena and Mercedes-Benz Stadium in downtown Atlanta. It is not open yet. Developers CIM Group, Centennial Yards Company and Drew Company announced it on April 22, 2026, as Virgin Hotels’ first Georgia location, with an opening planned for 2027.

What’s planned

The hotel is to have 261 rooms, including 21 Grand King Chambers, 21 one-bedroom suites, a penthouse and Richard’s Flat, a suite named for Richard Branson. Plans call for a lobby bar, a signature restaurant, a rooftop bar and lounge, and a pool deck with 10 private cabanas, a seasonal bar and an event lawn. About 2,900 square feet of meeting space across three rooms is also planned.
