The second of back-to-back Big Screen on the Green nights turns the lawn over to Atlanta’s Olympic summer. The Summer of ’96 edition pairs the era’s music and style with a fan-favorite film, plus the same food trucks, vendor village and lawn games as the Friday night.
Thirty years on, 1996 is the reference point downtown keeps returning to — Centennial Olympic Park exists because of it, and the Backyard itself sits on ground the Games reshaped. Doing the nostalgia night here rather than in a theater is the whole idea.
Gates at 6 p.m., movie at dark, free to attend. 1 Backyard Way, on the Mercedes-Benz Stadium campus.
