Georgia International Plaza

What it is

Georgia International Plaza is an open-air green space on the Georgia World Congress Center campus, sitting just outside Building B of the convention center. Managed within the campus overseen by the Georgia World Congress Center Authority, it gives convention-goers and event crowds a place to step outside, stretch, meet up with colleagues or grab some fresh air between sessions.

What’s nearby

The plaza sits in the middle of downtown’s sports and entertainment cluster. State Farm Arena is roughly 600 feet to the east, and the immersive venue Cosm is under 600 feet away on Centennial Olympic Park Drive. For a meal, New South Kitchen on Marietta Street is less than 900 feet from the plaza, making it easy to pair a walk through the green space with lunch or a pre-show dinner.

Because the plaza is part of the convention campus, it is especially lively on days when big conferences, trade shows or arena events bring crowds to the area. It’s a handy landmark for meeting a group before heading into the convention center or on to a game or concert nearby.
