Bodysnatcher with Gideon

Bodysnatcher headline Hell at The Masquerade on Wednesday, December 16, joined by Gideon, Psycho-Frame, and Volatile Ways. The Florida band deal in deathcore at its most concussive — downtuned, percussive, and structurally uninterested in relief. Albums like Bleed-Abide and Vile Conduct built their reputation on a rhythm section that treats the breakdown as the thesis rather than the payoff, and on Kyle Medina's vocal delivery, which stays in the low register long enough to make the occasional break upward genuinely startling. Gideon arrive from a different direction. The Alabama band started in Christian hardcore and moved steadily heavier across their catalog, landing somewhere adjacent to nu-metal without fully committing to it. Psycho-Frame and Volatile Ways open. Hell is the Masquerade's basement-level room, low-ceilinged and built for exactly this. Music starts at 6 p.m. The venue is at 75 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive SW.
