Sweeping Promises began in a reverberant concrete laboratory in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Lira Mondal and CauField Schnug recorded their debut, Hunger for a Way Out, with a self-devised single-mic technique and mixed it in mono. It is a good fit for fans of lo-fi, post-punk-leaning indie.
