Park Bar, the downtown spot on Walton Street a short walk from Centennial Olympic Park, has changed hands. Restaurant sales broker Shumacher Group says the bar sold for nearly $2 million, according to a roundup of ownership changes published by Eater Atlanta on December 2, 2025.
Park Bar opened in 2011 and covers about 6,150 square feet. Eater Atlanta describes it as a staple for people heading to football games and concerts in the area, and the Centennial Park District puts the stadium, the arena and the convention center all within walking distance.
On its own website, Park Bar leads with fine bourbon, craft beer and food, and it lists private events and online ordering for to-go food. Regulars can keep an eye on parkbaratlanta.com for any word from the new owners.
What we know
The sale price comes from the broker, as reported by Eater Atlanta. The Shumacher Group also announced the deal on its own site, headlining it a $2 million sale of the freestanding bar at 150 Walton Street NW, and says it was established in 2011 with about 6,150 square feet. Neither report names the buyer, and neither says whether the new owner plans to change the name, the menu or the layout.
The sale is an ownership change. Nothing in the report says the bar is closing or changing hours.
Why it matters downtown
Bars around the park do a lot of work on event days. When a crowd lets out from a game or a show, places like Park Bar give people somewhere to meet up before heading home. A buyer putting nearly $2 million into a bar that has served downtown since 2011 is a vote of confidence in this corner of the Centennial Park District.
We will update this post when the new owners introduce themselves or announce any plans.
