What it is
Southern Belle Chicken Co. is one of the chef-driven counters inside CTR Food Works, the food hall at The CTR from the team behind New York’s Gansevoort Market and Atlanta’s Chattahoochee Food Works. Chef Joey Ward, a Michelin-recommended Atlanta chef and James Beard nominee, leads the kitchen, and the concept runs on the motto “Southern Fried. World Traveled.”
What to order
The menu centers on fried chicken done a few ways: crispy sandwiches, hand-breaded strips and Southern sides. What sets it apart is the sauce lineup, with globally influenced flavors inspired by street food from around the world layered onto Southern comfort classics. It’s an easy choice when a group wants to split up across the food hall and regroup for communal dining, and the hall’s full-service bar is part of the same space.
Before you go
The CTR lists hours of 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday, stretching to 11 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, which makes it a handy late bite after a game or concert nearby.
