The Pourdown, South Downtown's roaming wine-and-community event, pulled off a special edition on Thursday, July 2, 2026, teaming up with RenderATL to take over Broad Street and Founders Green for an evening built around Atlanta's FIFA World Cup moment.
The 6 to 9 p.m. gathering doubled as a celebration of RenderATL's grand opening in its new Atlanta headquarters, which the Atlanta-born tech conference has since made its permanent home inside ATV South Broad Suites on Broad Street. The Pourdown's crowd arrived right on the heels of RenderATL's official ribbon-cutting ceremony, folding a corporate milestone into a neighborhood block party.
Founders Green, South Downtown's half-acre public greenspace at 110 Broad St. SW, gave the two organizations a stage just steps from Mercedes-Benz Stadium and squarely inside the city's World Cup footprint. Organizers leaned into that timing, pitching the night as a chance to experience a fast-changing corner of downtown Atlanta while the world's attention was on the city.
True to The Pourdown's format, the night centered on a wine tasting experience, with the last pour poured at 9 p.m. sharp. Broad Street BBQ handled the food, serving barbecue plates and a cocktail list on-site, with additional bites and drinks available from neighboring South Downtown restaurants and businesses. A limited run of $30 tickets, plus taxes and fees, was held back for same-day sale at the gate, on top of advance sales through Posh.vip.
Getting to Founders Green kept in step with South Downtown's car-optional pitch: MARTA riders could hop off at Five Points or Garnett station for a five-minute walk in, while cyclists had protected bike lanes on Forsyth Street and MLK Jr. Drive running directly into the neighborhood. Drivers had a valet option nearby on Forsyth Street, and the closest South Downtown-run lot — the South Downtown - Redbud Lot (165 Mitchell St. SW), one of the 315 South Downtown spaces with the first two hours free — sits an easy walk from the green as well.
The evening was the latest sign of RenderATL's deepening roots in South Downtown, following the conference's move into its Broad Street offices, and it gave The Pourdown — now seven events into its run — a World Cup-season showcase for a neighborhood organizers described as transforming in real time. Guests had to be 21 or older with valid ID, and the event went on rain or shine, per The Pourdown's standard terms.
