Origin Hotel Atlanta

What it is

Origin Hotel is a hotel created from a former office building at 166 Pryor Street in South Downtown. Downtown Atlanta Inc. describes it as an adaptive re-use of an office building into a hotel in the heart of South Downtown, developed by The Thrash Group, with 124 hotel rooms and a stated investment of $16.5 million. Urbanize Atlanta, a local news outlet, reported that it opened on July 22, 2025 with 122 rooms, a restaurant called Social Capitol American Bistro, a rooftop event space, and Tandem Hospitality Group as operator, and gave the building’s address as 110 Mitchell Street SW on the corner of Pryor.

Where it stands

The Downtown Atlanta Inc. investment map entry lists the project as complete, with a completion year of 2025, so it is no longer a planned conversion. The room count differs between sources (124 on the map, 122 in news coverage). For rates and bookings, use the hotel’s own channels, since the map entry publishes no visitor information.
