What it is
Delilah’s Everyday Soul on Mitchell Street is the family’s first standalone restaurant, set in South Downtown. The brand started in 2021 and now has three locations, all owned and run by Jason and Delana Reeves. Delana’s mother, Delilah, built her name on a mac and cheese that won national attention on The Oprah Winfrey Show, and the family cooks from her recipes and traditions.
Food and drink
The kitchen is rooted in soul food classics: fried chicken, mac and cheese and fried green tomatoes. The restaurant is quick-serve, so it works for a casual lunch or dinner, and takeout and delivery are available through the Delilah’s website, where you can also find catering for events of different sizes.

The South Downtown location is at 227 Mitchell Street SW and lists daily hours of 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Hours can change, so check the website before heading over.
Where to park
The South Downtown - Dogwood Lot (214 Nelson St SW) is the nearest of the four South Downtown lots offering two hours of free parking — about a 3-minute walk from here. Two hours free, then standard rates; read the signs when you arrive.
