What it is
Social Capitol is an American bistro at 110 Mitchell Street SW, inside the Origin Hotel Atlanta. Its name and tagline play on the nearby Georgia State Capitol, with “legislation by day, libations by night.” The restaurant says its dishes are locally sourced and made from scratch, in a space it calls both warm and sophisticated.
Food and drink
The menu runs from a hearty beef chili with crackers and a cornbread muffin to 7-piece wings with fries, Caesar and mixed green salads that can be topped with chicken, shrimp or salmon, a classic burger, a crispy buffalo chicken sandwich and a pulled pork sandwich with slaw. It also lists seasonal snacks and drinks, and desserts that can come a la mode.
