Smorgasburg Atlanta

What it is

Smorgasburg Atlanta is the Atlanta market of the national open-air food festival, held at 140 Forsyth St SW in South Downtown. According to its Atlanta page, it is open every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., free to attend and open to all ages, and it runs rain or shine, closing only for snow or ice. Updates go out on its Atlanta Instagram account.

Food and drink

The Atlanta vendor page lists independent vendors that include Eggroll Boyz, Phew’s Pies, Tamalion, Yaardie Eats, Fri-day in Manila, What The Shuck, Charlotte’s Conch Fritters, Noble Honey Lemonade and Caffiens Coffee Company. A market bar pours beer, wine, cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks for guests 21 and older with ID. Many vendors offer gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian or kosher options, so ask at the stall. Almost all vendors take cards and contactless payment as well as cash.

Events

Parking

Closest free parking is South Downtown - Redbud Lot (165 Mitchell St SW), about a 2-minute walk — the first two hours are free, courtesy of South downtownATL. It is one of four South Downtown lots offering two hours of free parking across 315 spaces; beyond two hours, normal rates apply. Elm and Redbud have a four-hour limit; for longer visits, the South Downtown - Dogwood Lot is the only one of the four without it.
