Georgia State’s annual talent showcase returns to the Rialto Center for the Arts on October 29, putting students on a professional downtown stage for an evening that runs the range — vocalists, instrumentalists, dancers, spoken word, and whatever else makes the cut.
The Rialto is Georgia State’s performing arts venue at 80 Forsyth Street NW in the Fairlie-Poplar district, a restored 1916 movie house that seats about 833. It is the same room that hosts the Rialto Series’ touring jazz and dance bookings, which is part of the point — the student showcase gets the real house, not a campus black box.
The show runs 7 to 8pm.
