Haunted Seas: After Hours
Georgia Aquarium's 21-and-up Halloween party takes over the galleries after closing for a night of costumes, cocktails, and the Ocean Voyager tunnel in the dark.
Georgia Aquarium clears the day crowd and reopens for Haunted Seas: After Hours on Friday, October 16.
The 21-and-up event runs 7:30 to 10:30 p.m., with the full galleries open, bars set up through the building, and costumes actively encouraged. The draw is the building itself after dark — the Ocean Voyager tunnel with the lighting pulled down and whale sharks moving overhead is a fundamentally different experience than the same walk at 2 p.m. on a Saturday.
The Aquarium leans into the theme without turning the place into a haunted house: themed lighting, seasonal programming at the touch pools, and a run of the more genuinely unsettling residents given top billing.
Tickets are sold separately from daytime admission and this night sells out early. Georgia Aquarium is at 225 Baker Street NW.
