Georgia Aquarium

What it is

Georgia Aquarium is across from Centennial Olympic Park and is open 365 days a year, with entry ending half an hour before closing. Hours can change, and the site shows each day's schedule.

What to see

The galleries each have a different focus. Ocean Voyager, built by The Home Depot, is home to the whale shark and manta rays and has an acrylic tunnel. The Predators of the Deep gallery covers sharks, and Cold Water Quest has sea otters, penguins and a beluga whale exhibit. Two rescued belugas from Marineland Canada have come home to the Aquarium. Dolphin Coast and Truist Sea Lion Studios stage live presentations. Southern Company River Scout and Tropical Diver cover rivers and coral reefs, while Explorers Cove and Aquanaut Adventure are hands-on spaces for kids.

Behind the Seas tours, sleepovers, animal encounters and swims or dives with the whale shark are sold separately. Haunted Seas runs October 2 through November 1, 2026, and WinterTide follows from November 13 through January 3.

Before you go

Ticket prices vary by date and time. Dolphin and sea lion presentations need a same-day reservation, and Aqua Pass holders must reserve a visit. A combo ticket pairs the Aquarium with World of Coca-Cola. Details are on the Georgia Aquarium website.
