Mercedes-Benz Stadium sits in a part of downtown Atlanta that has changed dramatically in the past two years. The Centennial Yards development to the north and the SoDo corridor to the south have added real dining options to what was previously a limited match-day ecosystem. Here is what is within walking distance.
At Centennial Yards (2-minute walk, north of stadium)
Chops Lobster Bar — The Atlanta steakhouse institution's new Centennial Yards location. A proper pre-game dinner if you want to do match day right. Reservations recommended on match days.
Khao Thai Isan — Regional Thai tapas, shareable plates. Good for groups, flexible on timing.
Shake Shack — Reliable and fast. Best for post-gate, pre-kickoff eating when you are already inside the district.
The Irish Exit — Pub atmosphere, all-day dining, good for a pre-match pint with food.
At Underground Atlanta (5-minute walk, southeast)
Underground Atlanta has a growing dining scene anchored by Busy Bee's new location at The Mitchell. The soul food institution is the kind of place that makes sense for a match day lunch if you are planning around the noon kickoff.
Daiquiriville and other Underground tenants are also worth knowing if you are managing a group across different preferences.
In the SoDo Corridor (10-15 minute walk, south)
Bottle Rocket Fine Food and Beverage on Mitchell Street SW is a good option if you want to eat away from the stadium crush. Founders Green, nearby, is also running community programming on weekends.
Timing Note
For noon kickoffs — including Spain vs. Cabo Verde on June 15 — plan your meal for the 9:30-11:00 AM window. Match day congestion around the stadium builds fast in the 60 minutes before gates open, and restaurant wait times spike accordingly.
